Yesterday evening we hosted the SOLD OUT 6th Annual Bowling Bonanza at King Pin Lanes! It was wonderful to see our business community come together for some fun in support of the Chamber, allowing us to continue to provide business advocacy, community promotion, and encourage economic growth in Rome. Wait… you brought your entire team to a bowling fundraiser? During tax season?! ?? Yep, we did! And we wouldn’t have it any other way. Last night, our entire Universal Bookkeeper, Inc. team came together to support, Rome NY Chamber of Commerce, at their bowling fundraiser. Throughout the event, Justin and I were reminded of the impact we’re making through the conversations we had: "I can’t believe you brought your whole team—especially during tax season!" "You’re leading the way in redefining what an accounting firm looks like." "The work you’re doing and the growth you’ve had is incredible!" When we started this business, we set out to build something different—a non-traditional accounting firm that truly values people, relationships, and work-life balance just as much as numbers and strategy. Last night was proof of that. We didn’t just bowl (though we had plenty of strikes and gutter balls ??)—we connected. With our team, strengthening the bond that makes us who we are. With our clients, showing up to support them beyond just business. And with fellow business owners in our community, having real conversations about growth, innovation, and the future of our local economy. Hearing others recognize what we’re building and the impact we’re making is humbling and energizing all at once. We’re not just growing a business—we’re helping create a stronger, more connected community. Huge thanks to Rome Area Chamber for an amazing event and to everyone we had the chance to network with.
