This is big news in the legal world and impacts many workers. In the near future, most noncompete provisions will no longer be in effect.
Today, the Federal Trade Commission issued a final rule to promote competition by banning #noncompetes nationwide, protecting the fundamental freedom of workers to change jobs, increasing innovation, and fostering new business formation. The final rule will become effective 120 days after publication in the Federal Register.
