The Gateway Development Commission (GDC) commissioned a?new economic impact analysis?of the first five contracts in active construction on the Hudson Tunnel Project (HTP) which found that work underway will support 20,200 direct, indirect, and induced full-time equivalent (FTE) workers while generating $4.5 billion in economic output and $1.7 billion in labor income. “When the Hudson Tunnel Project is complete it will deliver 21st?century transportation reliability for millions of passengers. Thomas Edison State University (TESU) is making graduate education more accessible and affordable by introducing a new flat-rate tuition model for its master’s degree programs. Effective with the May 2025 term, students enrolling in TESU’s Master of Business Administration (MBA) or other graduate programs will have the opportunity to lock in a fixed tuition rate for the entire duration of their program, ensuring cost certainty and substantial savings. Under this new tuition structure, the MBA program will be offered at a total cost of $24,000, reflecting a 15% savings compared to the standard per-credit pricing model. All other graduate programs will be available at a flat rate of $18,000, delivering 26% savings. The flat-rate program will exclude the Master of Science in Nursing, Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner program.

Over 100 health professionals in New Jersey, led by Clinicians for Climate Action New Jersey (CCANJ), are urging state lawmakers to promptly implement the Advanced Clean Trucks (ACT) regulation to safeguard residents—especially those in overburdened communities—from harmful health effects associated with diesel emissions. In a letter sent to Senate President Nicholas Scutari and Assembly Speaker Craig Coughlin, CCANJ highlighted the critical need for complete enforcement of the ACT regulation, which was adopted by the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) in 2021. This policy aims to gradually transition medium- and heavy-duty trucks to zero-emission vehicles (ZEVs), as transportation emissions are the largest source of air pollution in New Jersey.
