Hot take based on some data I’ve been crunching - raise a $10mm nor more than $20mm fund to deploy into companies that are post series A - D (cash strapped but “almost there” as in cash flow break even or solid economics) companies that last raised in 2021. The fund comes in with $1mm -$2mm checks and wipes the cap table, options up founders, and gets a good position for exit in 2-5 years. I don’t know what you would call this and it’s a year late (re: raising the fund) but the next 18mo is going to be ripe for this.

97.68% of VC backed company exits occur in the $50 million to $999 million range. Rogue Women has designed a portfolio strategy and fund size to capitalize on these odds. We're hyper-focused on returning multiples on our fund and less interested in headlines, mark-ups, the tier 1 firm playing field, and the pedigree. We still need our "big hits" but the difference is that a "big hit - fund returner" can happen at $500MM versus +$1B. Our Fund I "fund returner" exit # is $100MM. In VC you'll always need a bit of luck, but one can at least play to better odds.
