Last Thursday, our CEO Gabriel Stengel joined a panel titled “The Insight Machine” at the Evident AI Symposium to discuss how AI is driving knowledge creation at leading banks. The event had over 300 in-person attendees from across the industry. “Knowledge drives productivity, but insights drive revenue. When you think about your highest earning employees, you need to ask: How do you make them higher leverage to produce the insights that are actually actionable and drive revenue? For us, we believe that for an M&A banker to be very smart, there’s a huge amount of raw knowledge creation that’s not that insightful that has to take place first. Maybe that’s a screening to see which financial sponsors are even interested in the asset you're taking to market before you can take it to your MDs, and then they can get smart and product insights for the clients. It’s almost become hackneyed at this point, but it’s never been easier to take unstructured data and turn it into structured data. The more classical ML techniques — prediction, signal processing, and so on — hinge on structured data.
