We’re excited to share a closer look at the groundbreaking Silent Seminar hosted by Arthrex Nederland B.V. during Traumadagen 2024! ? This unique experience showcased how innovation and creativity can elevate surgical education. From a mobile truck parked outside the congress venue, an expert surgeon broadcasted live using Rods&Cones, providing an immersive, real-time view of the procedure. ? The attendees inside the congress hall could follow along seamlessly, equipped with headphones to listen to the surgeon’s insights without disrupting the regular flow of the event. It was a powerful demonstration of how to do more with a single event by leveraging cutting-edge technology and reimagining traditional formats. ? We’re proud to have supported the European Society of Surgical Oncology (ESSO) in their transformative training event at UMC Utrecht. Over two days, participants had the unique opportunity to engage with live robotic esophagectomy procedures broadcasted directly from the OR to the auditorium. On the first day, Prof. Jelle Ruurda performed the surgery while Prof. Richard van Hillegersberg expertly guided participants through the procedure in the auditorium. On the second day, their roles were reversed, creating a dynamic and interactive learning experience for everyone involved. These sessions provided an immersive, real-time educational opportunity, allowing participants to deepen their understanding of advanced surgical techniques.
