While working in the private sector she managed corporate and private communications work in NYC and Chicago.

Honored to have been selected as one of Illinois State Comptroller Susana Mendoza's Hispanic Heritage Month honorees along with friends and incredible leaders in their fields Jacqueline Gomez Fuentes, Roxanne Nava, Jennifer Aguilar, and Artemio Arreola. Susana and I first met over two decades ago while working at City Hall and her undeniable energy, drive, and dedication to public service has continued with her work as the youngest IL State Representative, first Latina Chicago City Clerk and now as our highest ranking Latina statewide elected. Honored to have formed part of the Hispanas Organized for Political Equality (HOPE) delegation invited to visit Her Excellency US Ambassador Nathalie Rayes in Zagreb, Croatia. We toured the historic city and participated in a discussion with Croatian Women leaders on issues including women’s rights, energy, education, and finding ways for our countries to collaborate.
