? From Taunton to Broadway! ?? On Wednesday, Rodman for Kids brought 85 students from Taunton High School to see “Moulin Rouge!” on Broadway—an unforgettable experience made even more special by the fact that the leading role of Christian was played by THS alum, John Cardoza! For many of these students, it was their first Broadway show, and the impact was undeniable. After a powerful performance, John and his co-star, Solea Pfeiffer, took time for a talkback, answering questions about their journeys to the stage and inspiring the next generation of performers and dreamers. According to our survey, 93% of students left feeling more likely to pursue a career in performing arts—or one that uses skills they’ve built from it! This was more than just a field trip—it was a spark of inspiration. ? Read the full recap and hear what the students had to say - https://lnkd.in/e5KAUMsD Thank you John and Solea for making this such a magical day for us! #Rodman4Kids #Theatre4Kids #BroadwayMagic #MoulinRouge #ArtsAccess #DreamBig

Last week, students from Chelsea High School and Lawrence High School had a unique opportunity to attend an open rehearsal with the Boston Symphony Orchestra thanks to our Theatre for Kids program! ?? Hearing from Chelsea High’s orchestra and band students about what they were most excited to experience—whether it was seeing world-class musicians up close or finding inspiration for their own musical journeys—was a powerful reminder of why access to the arts matters. Experiences like these spark passion, broaden horizons, and encourage the next generation of musicians and arts supporters. Check out their reflections in this video! ??? #Theatre4Kids #Rodman4Kids #BostonSymphonyOrchestra #ArtsEducation #MusicInspires

Meet Tommy Heavren, MSW: A proud participant of the Rodman Ride for Kids, riding to support Rodman for Kids in our mission to ensure EVERY child has access to the resources, programs, and opportunities they need to dream, grow, and succeed. Tommy was introduced to Rodman for Kids by his friend, mentor, and Young Professionals Board member, Tatiana Joyce. After learning about our capacity-building efforts for youth-focused nonprofits and our Theatre for Kids program, he was eager to join the cause. "Growing up, I always wanted to be the most well-rounded. By trying my hand at different activities, I developed important social-emotional and leadership skills. Without these opportunities, my personal development probably would have taken a different path. I might not have made the same friendships, learned the same skills, or taken the same risks. I might not have created as many memories, chosen the same career, or established the network that introduced me to Rodman for Kids. Opportunities for growth and development should be available to all youth, regardless of circumstance, and they should be encouraged to pursue their goals and dreams—one dribble, performance, or experiment at a time." Tommy rides in gratitude for those who opened doors for him—and for the aspiring athletes, artists, and changemakers in our communities today. Who will YOU ride for this year? Join us on May 17th and make a difference. ??♀? Sign up here: https://lnkd.in/euSi-yyB ?? #35YearsStrong
