关于我们
Rocky Mountain Conservancy is the primary nonprofit partner of Rocky Mountain National Park and similar lands across Colorado and Wyoming. For over 90 years we have worked to serve these landscapes through philanthropic giving, education curriculum development and publications, on-the-ground stewardship efforts, and many other program areas. Located at the entrance of Rocky Mountain National Park, our Field Institute is the longest serving Field Institute in the nation, and actively curates world class educational opportunities for visitors of the park from all backgrounds. Along with our educational programming, each year we provide opportunties for people of all ages to connect with the Rocky Mountain National Park and US Forest Service lands through our Conservation Corps, Volunteer Days, High School Leadership Program, and Corporate partnerships. Rocky Mountain Conservancy & Rocky Mountain National Park staff and volunteers participated in a food drive to support the Allenspark Community Cupboard Food Bank. Yesterday, we delivered 380 lbs of donated food, including pet food and girl scout cookies, to the Community Cupboard volunteers at the Old Gallery in Allenspark. The Community Cupboard relies on donations to support 20-30 local families. The Conservancy appreciates community connections like these, fostered over years of communication and collaboration with folks who live in our gateway villages and towns. This summer, a Rocky Mountain Conservancy-Conservation Corps crew worked alongside National Park staff to preserve important buildings at the Holzwarth Historic Site. Crew members learned the fascinating history of the 100-year-old guest ranch and trout fishing destination as well as the varied construction and historic preservation skills necessary to save the structures for future generations of park visitors to explore. ? Crews rebuilt the historic woodshed (shown above) by stabilizing the support structure, residing, and putting on a new roof. They also raised a cabin to rebuild the foundation and rebuilt deck and stairs. ?
