The Board of Directors at the Rocky Mountain Down Syndrome Association (RMDSA) is thrilled to announce pivotal leadership transitions and the induction of new board members. These strategic developments underscore RMDSA’s commitment to excellence and progressive advancement. Leadership Transitions: Evelyn Walter, after five years of exemplary service as the President of the Board, will transition to the role of Past President. Evelyn’s relentless dedication has been instrumental in propelling the organization’s mission and providing support to families impacted by Down syndrome. Her invaluable perspective, as a parent of a child with Down syndrome, community servant and business leader/owner, has significantly shaped RMDSA’s work in inclusion, advocacy, and community support. She remains a board member for the remainder of her third and final term through next year. Elmer Sequeira, a seasoned board member with four years of dedicated service and prior experience as Vice President, ascends to the critical role of Board Chair. Elmer’s visionary leadership and deep alignment with our organization’s mission position him for this pivotal responsibility. His innovative contributions to RMDSA programs and skill at fostering collaboration promise to amplify our organization’s impact. Devin Myers, a member of our board, transitions into the role of Vice President.Devin's problem-solving skills, commitment, and creative thinking have played a crucial role in our achievements. We look forward to his ongoing impact in this position. Devin has served with RMDSA since 2016, initially as a member of the RMDSA Young Professional Board. Audrey Kapetanovic: with her extensive expertise in corporate accounting, is a valuable addition to our board. Her significant contributions during the 2023 Audit process have already showcased her immense value. Audrey’s deep personal connection, shaped by her experience growing up with a disabled brother, fuels her dedication to championing the rights of the disability community. Mike Carvill, recognized for his compassion and steadfast commitment to community service, brings a unique blend of his background as a former police officer and his current role as a sales professional. His personal ties to RMDSA make him an excellent addition to the Board of Directors. Lauren Hash Womble, CPA: With over 2 decades of executive experience and a CPA in the oil& gas industry, Lauren also serves as the Treasurer and officer of her daughter’s School’s PTA. A parent of a 10-year-old with Down syndrome, she engages in community organizations and events, providing invaluable insights to RMDSA. Robert Hill dedication to family and community permeates all his endeavors. His exceptional sales acumen and sharp problem-solving skills make him a valuable asset to the board. Rob’s strong ties to RMDSA stem from his involvement supporting the organization in multiple ways since learning of his son’s Down Syndrome diagnosis.

(RMDSA) is a non-profit organization which serves families of children and adults with Down syndrome, and interested professionals in the Mountain States region.
