On November 2nd, the Rockwood “squad” gathered on the National Mall for the Wounded Warrior Project Carry Forward 5K. Together, Rockwood squad members raised $4,091 (exceeding the initial goal of $2500), landing Rockwood in the top 20 squads in the virtual 5K category. The money Rockwood raised will help the WWP to provide the following: - Offering career counseling sessions to 117 warriors. - Providing consultations with claims specialists to 107 warriors, helping them secure military benefits. - Delivering mental health treatment services to 27 warriors. - Equipping 16 warriors with tools for financial wellness to build strong futures. The Carry Forward 5K was also a fantastic opportunity to connect with colleagues and enjoy a beautiful Fall day in the nation’s capital.
