Georeferencing 3 sheets on top of each other on a site project using the all new PDF Manager Command. In the video below we show how to group pages 6,8 and 10 together into a collection of pages, and then georeference the first sheet using Scalebar, and the second and third sheet using multipoint to the first sheet using Vector Snaps in the PDF Page and the Target location PDF Page. We also show how to extract the linework from the first Page and then georeference page 2 and 3 to the first page using CAD linework Snaps. The two methods should result in the same accuracy of overlay because both are using the same snap locations - once in the PDF and the second time to the CAD lines extracted from the PDF. Rockpile Announcing new RPS Smart Suite Tools: At Trimble Dimensions Next Week we are following on from the release we made a couple of weeks ago, with some of the biggest changes that we have ever made to the RPS Command Library, that will have a major impact on your personal productivity. Smart Switch: ?incorporates the ability to?Smart Switch?between commands. We have taken our top commands, that now make up the RPS Smart Suite of tools, and added this “Smart Concept” that allows you to simply Switch between commands rather than Open and Close commands all the time. Smart Select: ?allows you to select data by drawing a single line (2 point or multipoint line) across the data that you want to select and Relayer or Select and Delete. Smart Edit Enhancements: Remove Segment, Join at Intersection, Simple Join in Plan & 3D Views RPS Cloud Services: This is game changing technology for our “data format” centric industry, and can save hundreds of hours of manual processing time every year. Smart Edit: Linestring Edit - Dependent Line Editing. This function can be found in the Vertical tab of the linestring edit function of Smart Edit. For example, you started out with a Top Back of Curb Line, you joined the lines together using the Smart Edit - Join option, you elevated the line using Smart Edit - Linestring Edit - Vertical Add VPI option, and then you used Multi Offset Line to create offset lines for the Top Face of Curb, Flow Line, Lip of Curb and Edge of Pavement +/- Sidewalk lines. Each of these offset lines has a constant horizontal and vertical offset to the top back of curb line. You now realize that you need to add, change, remove or move an elevation on the top back of curb line, and that in turn means that to keep the other lines geometrically related, you have to compute the elevations for each line and add those manually also. If you use Dependent Line editing in the Smart Edit command, you need only make the changes to the Top Back of Curb Line and the same edits will be applied automatically to the dependent lines in a single click. Shortcut Manager Command: The new Shortcut Manager continues our efforts to provide improved ways to handle your TBC setup and configuration. The Shortcut manager uses styles to create packaged command shortcuts that can be changed quickly, allowing you to define, copy, modify and save shortcut libraries. The default RPS and TBC command shortcuts can be changed within a couple of seconds, and you can now more easily create and modify your shortcuts as well as save and restore your updated styles for future use.
