Our students had such a great learning experience at the Middle School Career Fair! Students gathered in the Sullivan Middle School Falcons gym to learn more about different career paths they could follow after graduating. The fair was a huge success! We want to thank everyone who came out to speak with our kids and 100% RHS for supplying the food for our volunteers and teachers.

Today, Lesslie Elementary School held a new festival to celebrate Native American History Month! The inaugural Ye Iswa Festival helped bring culture to our classrooms. Students learned more about Native American culture, specifically Catawba culture. From stamp painting to regalia, our students' learning experiences were vast and educational. Thank you to the Catawba Nation for giving us this amazing learning opportunity!

Ebinport Elementary School students were treated to a nice surprise this week! The new playground they've been waiting for opened for them to use. Our students jumped, climbed, and swung as soon as they were given the okay to get on the equipment! We want to thank Elevation Church Riverwalk for their generous donation to our school.

We had an eventful board meeting last night! First, we swore in five board members. The board members, joined by their families, took an oath and were officially installed on our Board of Trustees. The board voted unanimously to appoint Helena Miller as the board chair and unanimously to select Jennifer Hutchinson as vice-chair. Then, we recognized the arts and athletics. Three students, who won prizes for their photographs at the S.C. state fair, got to show off their artwork. The Dutchman Creek Middle School 7th and 8th grade volleyball teams and Saluda Trail Middle School 8th grade football team were recognized for their championship season. Plus, South Pointe High School swimmer Jack McCrae was celebrated for his third swim state champion title.

We'd like to wish all veterans a Happy Veterans Day. Our students got the opportunity to host their relatives who are veterans at their schools. They learned so much about service and sacrifice. We'd also like to recognize our veterans working in Rock Hill Schools. Thank you all for your service!
