Rockford Mutual Insurance Company primarily writes automobile, homeowners, farmowners, and commercial multi-peril in Illinois, Wisconsin, and Indiana. Policies are produced with our independent agents appointed throughout our areas of operation.
Rockford Mutual Insurance Company was organized on November 2, 1896 as Rockford Farmers’ District Mutual Tornado Insurance Company. Nearly a century later, in 1982, our company decided to embark on a new journey into the property and casualty market. We knew then that we had more to offer our community aside from reinsuring its farmers. We wanted to be the rock that homeowners, bussinessowners, and auto owners could lean on. Over the years we have extended our products into both Wisconsin and Indiana. Today, we insure over 70,000 policyholders and are partnered with over 200 independent agents. We are a local Mutual Insurance company that takes pride in helping those who need us most.
