关于我们

Our Mission: We continue Winthrop Rockefeller's collaborative approach to creating transformational change. Our Vision: We envision a future where every person is empowered to bring their unique perspective to bear on the most monumental of challenges and participate in the search for solutions. Our Method: We engage our resources and Winthrop Rockefeller’s values to convene purposeful gatherings on his historic cattle ranch. We do this work by employing the “Rockefeller Ethic” which represents the belief that diversity of opinion, engaging in respectful dialogue, and practicing collaborative problem solving combine to create transformational change. The productive energy of our mountaintop location coupled with the highest levels of hospitality ensure all who come here are able to do their best work. The Rockefeller Ethic: Collaborative Problem Solving + Respectful Dialogue + Diversity of Opinion = Transformational Change

Today is National Freedom of Information Day! On February 14, 1967, Gov. Winthrop Rockefeller signed the Arkansas Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) into law — a defining moment in our state's history. Known as “The People’s Law,” this first-ever legislation set a new standard for government transparency. Some quick facts: ? Drafted by the Arkansas Chapter of Sigma Delta Chi, a professional journalism society, the bill had strong legislative support. ? Rockefeller and journalists hailed it as one of the strongest FOIA laws in the country, hoping other states would follow suit. ? At the time, only about half of U.S. states had adequate open-records laws, making Arkansas a national leader in government accountability. ? Prior to this, Arkansas had a weak open-meetings law but no open-records law — until Rockefeller changed that. ? Rockefeller called it one of the crowning achievements of his administration. As Arkansas’s first Republican governor in 94 years, Rockefeller faced major political challenges. Yet, this historic FOIA bill was a testament to bipartisan cooperation and a commitment to open government.

  • “When I think of Believe the Mission and what it means to me, I think about a couple of things. Firstly, it’s a very personal thing for me, like the oxygen I breathe. Secondly, I think about how our guests are feeling when they come here. It’s about creating a unique experience for our guests and making sure they’re having a memorable and emotionally engaging time.” - Joseph Campbell, Core Value Winner: Believe the Mission

  • Gov. Winthrop Rockefeller signing Act 128 connected Arkansas to one of nature's rarest treasures. ?? The act also named quartz crystal the state mineral and bauxite the state rock. Arkansas is one of the few places in the world with diamonds, and the only spot in the U.S. where the public can dig for them.
