Yesterday we were thrilled to host all of the local, county and state representatives alongside NYS Housing & Community Renewal, NYS Homeless Housing & Assistance Corporation, NYSERDA and our private sector funding partners, JP Morgan Chase Bank and Hudson Housing Capital to cut the ribbon for Johnson Park Green Living. This day represented the culmination of over 6 years of work for us collectively and together with our development partner, JCTOD Outreach Inc. we could not have had a better day to celebrate this important development for the City of Utica and the cornhill neighborhood in particular. These 62 apartments, built to the Passive House standards are now home to an incredibly grateful cohort of venerable folks, alongside a newly construction community center which consists of space for a new universal Pre-K/after school program together with a purpose build food pantry and commercial grade kitchen.
