    🎄✨ Rochester | DCCM and PeoplesQuigley | DCCM recently came together to celebrate the Christmas season at the beautiful Lake Lanier Islands Resort, a cherished client for decades. Friday night kicked off with family fun at Snow Island Park, featuring holiday lights, rides, sledding, and cozy moments by the fire with hot chocolate and s’mores. On Saturday morning, everyone gathered for a heartfelt Christmas Breakfast, complete with inspiring reflections from leadership, service awards recognizing up to 40 years of dedication, and a special story for the kids about the True Meaning of Christmas. The weekend was filled with laughter, connection, and holiday cheer—a perfect way to honor tradition and look ahead to the future. ❤️🎅

    The City of Arcade has officially voted to proceed with its first-ever public sewage system development, a significant step toward advancing local infrastructure. The project, which includes the construction of a new water reclamation facility, will be undertaken in partnership with PeoplesQuigley | DCCM. This transformative initiative is part of the city’s broader commitment to modernizing its infrastructure to meet growing environmental and community needs. The new sewage treatment plant will incorporate state-of-the-art processes such as extended aeration, biological nutrient removal, clarification, filtration, disinfection, and sludge dewatering. Designed with sustainability and efficiency in mind, this facility will enhance wastewater management while meeting environmental standards set by agencies such as the Georgia Department of Natural Resources Environmental Protection Division (GA DNR EPD) and the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE). PeoplesQuigley | DCCM has been tasked with leading the Engineering Design for this project. Their responsibilities include: Equipment Selection for treatment processes, Design of biological and chemical treatment systems, Effluent discharge planning, Development of detailed construction documents, including bidding requirements and technical specifications. This forward-looking infrastructure will pave the way for improved utility services, supporting future residential and commercial growth in Arcade. The City Council expressed enthusiasm for the project, emphasizing its long-term benefits for residents and the environment. Construction planning is already underway, with a target completion date for Phase 1 set for 2026.

    The Dads of Great Students WATCH D.O.G.S.® program is one of the nation’s largest and most respected school-based, family, and community engagement organizations designed and developed by educators, experts and parent & guardian volunteers over more than two decades. Their programs for Elementary and Secondary School campuses help provide positive male role models for the students, demonstrating by their presence that education is important. Meanwhile, providing extra sets of eyes and ears to enhance school security, reduce bullying and provide a greater sense of campus safety allowing students and teachers to focus on learning and instruction. WATCH D.O.G.S.® provides training content, support materials, uniform apparel, and other promotional items for each campus community. Their mission is to support principals and teachers by providing willing volunteers while contributing to improved outcomes for students. Black delivered a compelling presentation and hands-on lab session focused on Field-to-Finish Workflows and Adjustment Strategies, emphasizing cutting-edge techniques to streamline survey processes. His interactive approach provided attendees with practical insights into leveraging Trimble technology for precision and efficiency. This was Black's 12th year as a presenter at the event, underscoring his commitment to advancing the surveying and geospatial professions. Jarrod Black
