Congratulations to the Rochester Board of Education, who has appointed Dr. Eric Jay Rosser as Superintendent, effective July 1, 2025. Dr. Rosser, a distinguished educational leader with more than 24 years of experience in school turnaround, educational leadership, and operational management, will bring his expertise and vision to lead RCSD forward.

Thank you to all who showed up for our first in-person convening of New York place-based leaders last night at caucus weekend in Albany. It was amazing to connect with and hear from parents, youth, Executive Directors and leaders from Rochester, Wayne County, Poughkeepsie and New York City. We talked about what it means to be a statewide place-based coalition, why place is so critical and matters more than ever in this dire moment in our nation's history, and the diverse issues that unite us: equity in education, upward mobility and eradicating poverty, workforce development and centering youth development and parent, family and community leadership in all we do.
