Exciting Updates for Robotic WorX ToGo! ???? We finally have the 3D printed?Kawasaki Robotics Astorino robots in the lab!!! These things are sooo cool. Don't be jealous, go get one! These bots will be the centerpiece for hands-on robot / machine vision lab experiences we are developing for?Lancaster County high school students! This marks a major step forward in the?Robotic WorX ToGo!?initiative, bringing?industrial robotics and automation concepts?directly into the classroom. A huge thank you to our incredible partners for their collaboration and support: ???Lancaster County STEM Alliance?– Generously funding this project!!! ???Kawasaki Robotics?– Providing the technology to inspire future engineers! ???Cognex Corporation?– Providing the technology to inspire future engineers! ???Cocalico Senior High School & Garden Spot Senior High School?– Helping shape engaging learning experiences for students. ???Precision Cobotics?– Supporting robotics education with cutting-edge solutions. ???Millersville University of Pennsylvania?– Engaging undergrads in Applied Engineering, Safety & Technology at Millersville University in the development process! We're excited to get this technology into high school students' and expose them to robot motion control, programming, and automation concepts. Stay tuned as we roll out these experiences and empower the next generation of automation professionals! #Automation #RoboticsEducation #KawasakiRobotics #STEM #HandsOnLearning #FutureEngineers

We're cooking with gas! As John R Haughery, PhD, CSCE mentioned, many thanks to our partners at Advanced Atomization Technologies and Precision Cobotics for making the new Robotic WorX ABB IRB 1200 work cell a reality!
Asst. Prof. & Program Coordinator, Automation & Robotics Engineering Technology, Millersville University of Pennsylvania
This is exciting!! ?? The ABB IRB 1200 cell is fully operational, thanks to the support of Bob Hildebrand (Advanced Atomization Technologies), John Bridgen (Precision Cobotics), and Millersville University of Pennsylvania!! Located in the Robotic WorX Solution Lab at Millersville University of Pennsylvania, this cell will open up new opportunities for the lab to develop proof-of-concepts and cycle time validations at scale and speed. The best part…off-line programming, simulation tools, and 2 more similar cells coming soon! But I’ve already said too much.

One of the keys to success is honest self-reflection and targeted improvement. At the end of last semester, we had a meeting to discuss some of the ways we can make the Robotic WorX experience better for high school and college interns alike. Some key actions that we will implement going forward are: - Improved communication between all levels of program participants - Allowing college interns to view in advance the date of job shadows - Providing online training to high school interns and job shadows, preparing them to take a hands-on role immediately We cannot wait to see the result of these positive changes on Robotic WorX's continued success!

??Exciting news!?? The results are in! In 2024, we interacted with over 1400 business partners, educators, and students through the Robotic WorX program. Additionally, 42% of interactions were with populations underrepresented in automation, robotics, and manufacturing. Details in the chart below!! ??
