Roboforge is always a fan of material science. Controlable heating profiles are critical to our high performance composite structures. This thermal camera image shows two solutions: The "standard" solution and a solution using advanced materials from 3M. We can't give away too much, but the 3M solution provides much more even heating. The best part is the 3M solution is 1/10th the cost and we were able to prototype it in one day! Exciting progress for Roboforge. Feel free to message if you are interested in more details!

As the Pentagon launches its ambitious Replicator program to counter China's advantage in drone warfare, experts predict that manufacturing, not technology, will be the biggest hurdle. Bill Greenwalt, former deputy undersecretary of defense for industrial policy, highlights the scale of the challenge by comparing it to the US's struggle to ramp up production of 155-millimeter artillery ammunition, a century-old technology, to meet Ukraine's needs. Replicator aims to field thousands of AI-enabled drones within 18-24 months, a complex and novel undertaking. The program's success hinges on adopting radically new manufacturing capabilities, like Roboforge's digital manufacturing of composite panels and parts, which Greenwalt sees as Replicator's "real revolutionary potential." #replicator #digitalmanufacturing #roboforge
