A bit about me - I am a freelance illustrator & animator based in Sheffield, specialising in character design. I love to use bold colour palettes and bringing inanimate things to life. I have been in the industry for over 7 years, working with clients such as Vodafone, Quorn, DCMS, Scouts, Magic the Gathering & more. I would love to work on more packaging designs, brand campaigns and advertising projects. My favourite subject matter is probably between dogs and mushrooms ????

That’s a wrap 2024 ?? I can’t wait to see what 2025 brings! Here’s some of my favourite pieces from this last year, highlights include the Festival of Debate poster designs, Hop Hideout mural and menu board, personal mockups for dream client LUSH, my sticker design for Roar Art & Illustration Agency & pushing my personal portfolio more! I’m so grateful to the clients that I’ve worked with this year, ranging from animating for the Formula races to lecturing at Sheffield Hallam University, it has been a super fun year ?? I’m not big on New Year’s resolutions but here are a few I know I want to do: ?? Animate more extensive scenes and character interactions ?? Get back in touch with branding projects in my work ?? More collaborations ??? Create a new showreel ??♀? Run a half marathon! The last one scares me the most ?? My books are open for 2025! A look back at 2024... I wanted to share some of my favourite creative moments of the past year. I've worked on a lot of things in 2024 which won't come out until next year but I still had amazing opportunities and projects see the world this year and I'm very proud, grateful and excited to look back! (From left to right, top to bottom) 1. My huge collab' with KinderKraft saw the light in 2024 (we had been working on it for a few years). I created a really fun pattern to adorn a lot of baby products, from prams and car seats to travel cots and bouncers! This was hugely fun to create and it's now even better to be able to use the products myself. 2. I've continued creating designs from Ohh Deer | Playful Paper Goods | B Corp? developing a library of cards, notebooks and prints which I love having with them! Working with their team is a delight. 3. I was part of a really fun campaign by Adobe for Adobe Express where I got to be myself in front of a camera, showcasing my work and life here in Margate. It was a pinch-me moment having a whole team come to visit me and shoot this commercial. So exciting! 4. I joined the Roar Art & Illustration Agency roaster this year and I'm really happy to be amongst some super talented illustrators. I'm hoping being represented will bring me more fun opportunities in 2025! 5. I designed some more products for Rumble Cards - and my favourites were these Father's Day and Mother's Day cards. I definitely created a lot of stationery and papergoods in 2024! 6. I held my first exhibition for a couple of months in the local café High Tide over the Summer. I painted around 15 original paintings inspired by the sea and Margate. It was very rewarding getting to see my work showcased this way and it led to a few dreamy commissions too (who doesn't want to get paid to paint on canvas?!) 7. I hosted a couple of Pattern Challenges over on Instagram and created over 50 patterns this year (and that's just personal work!). My surface design library is growing, growing, growing. 8. And finally, I designed a mural with Roar Art & Illustration Agency for the brand Estrella - and it was fun having two other illustrators put it up for me! (At that point I was 8 months pregnant). Oh yes, I guess my biggest project of the year (and the one I'm the proudest of) is that I welcomed my second daughter, Robin, on August 18th. A little Leo sun! ?? I hope you also had a wonderful (although challenging at times) year. Let's do this 2025!

That’s a wrap for this year! 2024 has been a weird one - there’s been a lot of disappointments, several canned projects including my biggest commission to date which was a hard pill to swallow this year. It put a massive dampener on my creative motivation towards the latter part of the year which I’m still kinda hung up on. On the positive side it’s been great to push my personal development earlier in the year, and I’ve been blessed to have consistent clients who I am eternally grateful for! Thank you all for the continuous support whether it’s through instagram or having worked together, it means the absolute world! Having this community makes working for yourself so much better. Thank you also to my lovely agents at Roar Art & Illustration Agency you are truly the best! ? HAPPY HOLIDAYS FROM ROAR ? To celebrate the end of 2024 we decided instead of making our usual client, friends and family holiday card we would create something that would be both timeless and beautiful so that it could live on the receivers walls for years to come, not just for the hoiday season. As soon as we had this thought we knew that working with our artist?Nicholas Vallen?was an absolute no brainer. He took on our thoughts and produced a print that we are so excited and proud of, showcasing the amazing world-wide community of our agency, from our artists to our clients - a true love-letter to all those we know and work with.
