Taco Bamba made its?anticipated return to D.C. last year, and Albisu decided to play with the cult-like condiment for the first time at its new City Ridge locale. The “Hey Zeus” taco stars thick-cut bacon glazed with a mumbo he makes with ketchup, pineapple, hot sauce, and soy. “We wanted to create a D.C. barbecue-style taco,” he says. The Women’s Leadership Initiative closed out a banner year with a panel of women leaders sharing pointers on how to communicate experiences, career transitions, skillset, values – your story – effectively for career advancement. Our speakers also shared additional career advice, like the importance of regular self-assessment and finding the right environment to thrive through the course of their discussion. A networking happy hour followed allowing attendees to mingle while enjoying the views from the rooftop of The Crescendo at City Ridge. Our gratitude to our panelists Roberta Bosfield, Kelly Sewell Nagel, Ellen Klasson, and Maria Thompson for sharing their insights and wisdoms, and to our WLI Committee members who worked tirelessly to organize our end of year celebration.
