The premier venture studio for building deep technology in America, for America.
关于我们
Roadrunner Venture Studios is a company creation factory. We co-found breakthrough deep-tech ventures with the nation’s most brilliant scientists, engineers, and innovators in Energy, Space, Clean Tech, Advanced Materials and Manufacturing, Quantum, and High Performance Computing. Our team gets involved at the earliest possible moment — often when a company is just a whiteboard scribble, a concept modeled in wire-frame, or as founders are puzzling through how to design a pitch deck or process payroll — and rapidly accelerates product development, commercialization, and recruitment. We are the ultimate company “starter-kit,” equipping our portfolio companies with everything they need to go from the kernel of an idea to a venture-backed growth engine. Our promise is clear: our founders leave our studio with a company, a check, a customer, and a team.

Our Analyst Mansi Patel got to attend RTF24 hosted by Roadrunner Venture Studios! She gained valuable insights on the critical role of private, state and federal agencies in deep tech innovation, plus the importance of taking risks to support the next wave of groundbreaking companies. Keep leading the way, Mansi!
Had the opportunity to attend RTF24 hosted by Roadrunner Venture Studios in Albuquerque this week. Walked away with new knowledge regarding the importance of the involvement of private, state, and federal agencies in the innovation of deep tech, how so many are working to grow the entrepreneurial ecosystem in NM, and above all else take the risks. I heard this multiple times throughout the day that we need to take the risk and invest in deep tech companies, they won’t always meet the typical investment criteria so they need to be evaluated with a slightly different set of metrics. Yesterday marks the first day of Hispanic heritage month. As part of that, our, Techqueria New Mexico parent org Techqueria has organized Tech Week, where all chapters across the nation are running events. TechFest 2024 on Friday October 11th, is our contribution to this (along with our gracious co-hosts of GDG Albuquerque). It's amazing the amount of community involvement (especially from our Sponsors see full list below) and momentum that has already showed up to make this happen. For our first real big swing at an event like this, it's exciting to see everything come together. Between our monthly networking events, and other community events like New Mexico Technology Council's Tech summit last week, the Arrowhead Center: New Mexico State University Startup Forum, the Roadrunner Venture Studios Technology Forum all within the last couple of weeks, the UNM App Contest kicking off tomorrow, and Deep Dive Coding having some of the best cohort presentations I've ever seen, it's amazing to see the energy happening in our community. We at Techqueria are extremely happy to play a small role in that and we hope as many of you come out to Q Station as possible. The event is _totally free_, just register here so we have a good headcount. https://lnkd.in/gpMCuNeg Also feel free to share this or any of posts with your network, we're trying to cast a wide net. Thank you immensely to all of our sponsors The Encantado Foundation, Encantado Technical Solutions, Deep Dive Coding, CNM Ingenuity, Scale Up NM, The Albuquerque Hispano Chamber of Commerce, Roadrunner Venture Studios, Flow Aluminum, Aquila Group, ASTERISK AI/Lamb Sensor, Google, RESPEC, New Mexico Minority Business Development Agency Business Center, City of Santa Fe Office of Economic Development, Ezee Fiber, Future Focused Education, PMI Rio Grande Chapter, Q Station

Thanks to everyone who attended #RTF24 and to Roadrunner Venture Studios for making all of it possible! We enjoyed having the opportunity to join hundreds of fellow members of the deep tech community in Albuquerque, New Mexico for a day of exploring cutting-edge advancements and emerging areas in technology. Anzu Managing Partner Whitney Haring-Smith participated in a panel that delved into the state of deep tech investing, including the importance of thinking beyond short-term trends, the increasing role government plays in venture funding, artificial intelligence, quantum computing, autonomous vehicles and more. It was great seeing Anzu portfolio companies BioFlyte, Inc., Nature's Toolbox, Inc. (NTx), Voltaiq and XGS Energy there as well. Tons of thanks to Alice Brooks, partner with Bay Area-based Khosla Ventures, for sitting down ahead of last week's Roadrunner Venture Studios technology forum to talk technology and venture capital in New Mexico. One takeaway from the convo? The state is flush with, in Brooks' words, "researchers working on really cool things" — exactly what tech-focused venture firms like Khosla look for, she said. https://lnkd.in/gdrxa5vY

Roadrunner is pleased to officially partner with Purdue Research Foundation to commercialize cutting-edge inventions coming out of Purdue University and Purdue University College of Engineering. We have already begun vetting ideas and getting to know their entire team including Jacob Brejcha and a number of scientists. Universities like Purdue are the lifeblood of deep tech innovation and how studios like ours will discover and build the next breakthrough ventures.

A few weeks ago, we discussed why graphite is a critical problem for the energy transition and our economic security. Check out Part II of this deep dive for insights into potential solutions and our take on key challenges to solve. Special thanks to Henry Moise for contributing his technical expertise to this article. Plus, Roadrunner Venture Studios is on the lookout for sharp chemical/process engineers proficient in scaling prototypes to pilot-scale reactors! If you're keen to learn more, drop me a note.
