Did you catch the sun pillar this morning? Fun fact, these vertical beams of light that appear above or below the sun are caused by sunlight reflecting off of ice crystals in the atmosphere! Speaking of ice, please watch for slick areas in your commutes today. RCKC crews are all out spreading sand and sand/salt mixture to assist with traction. However, when it is this cold, salt has limited effect when it comes to actually melting ice, so please drive careful and stay alert. Stay warm!
