A logistics certificate from RMU opens the door for career advancement and allows our students to apply their knowledge to real-world omnichannel logistics scenarios directly. RMU students have the unique opportunity to gain industry recognition by showcasing their talents and networking with logistics professionals in forums throughout the academic year. Logistics is big business - making up 8% of the national gross product. RMU's Logistics Certificate is unique. Students focus on the strategic aspect of supply chain and logistics by focusing on place utility - one of the big 4 Ps of marketing. This distinct program allows students to study the role of place marketing, by focusing on getting the right product to the right customer at the right time. This is a challenge in today's complex omnichannel marketing structures. With the advances in retailing and demanding and discerning consumers, understanding how to ensure products get delivered on time is paramount. This certificate prepares students to understand the role of inventory, and the strategic assets in the supply chain, such as warehousing and the five modes of transportation. Students review the omnichannel marketing structures in today’s complex retail ecosystem. Plus, students get exposure to complex global supply chains, incoterms, and inventory analysis, along with understanding performance metrics. RMU has both a graduate and undergraduate certificate. These certificates can be coupled with any major. The certificate is versatile and can complement any major.

This week, the Omnichannel Club for Logistics had the incredible opportunity to tour the Fastenal warehouse alongside the Sales Program! It was an eye-opening experience to witness the seamless integration of logistics and sales in real-world operations. From advanced inventory management to Fastenal’s commitment to efficiency, we gained valuable insights into what makes a supply chain successful. We'd like to give a huge thanks to the Fastenal team for their hospitality and for sharing their expertise with us. This trip reminded us of the importance of collaboration between logistics and sales in driving business success. Thanks to Gabriel Moreno, Dr. Samantha Gibson, and Alan Smith for making today a success!

I am pleased to announce that our President, Evelyn Luthringer, has officially accepted a position with PITT OHIO as an International Logistics Management Specialist. Evelyn assumed the role of President of our RMU Omnichannel Logistics club, she was the founding officer and led the group through all approvals on campus, managed our 3rd Annual Robert Morris University Logistics Conference, sponsored by PITT OHIO, and created a membership of 31 members. Congratulations Evelyn Luthringer. We will miss you!

This afternoon, I was pleased to join Jordan Reber and Caitlin Wass from ARL Logistics to present the 2024 ARL Network Hustle Scholarship to Robert Morris University MBA student Joseph Aiello. The ARL Hustle Scholarship recognizes a student who works diligently to achieve their goals and reach their full potential. Joseph has 2 bachelor's degrees and is working towards his master's. On top of that, he also works as a full-time Sales Representative for Koppers Inc. His ability to balance his responsibilities in each of these areas on top of finding balance at home for his family earned him the scholarship. Congratulations Joseph! Joe represents the 'unstoppable' attitude. He works full-time and has a full-time family, plus he is graduating next week with his MBA, and a certificate in Supply Chain and Logistics Management.
