For families like Jacqueline's... ?? At #RMHOC, we're here when they need it most because childhood illness and medical crises can happen at any time. Grateful words from our families for the work you help us do each and every day. These 'thank you's are shared with our annual Adopt-A-Room sponsors every month. Providing comfort, care, and support to families with critically ill children receiving treatment at local hospitals.
关于我们
The Orange County Ronald McDonald House and Ronald McDonald Family Rooms provide a comforting “home away from home” for families with seriously ill children receiving treatment in Orange County hospitals. Since 1989, more than 12,000 families from all over California, the U.S. and other countries, have found a comfortable place to stay for several hours, days, weeks, months, and in some cases, over a year. The more restful environment of a Ronald McDonald House or Ronald McDonald Family Room rejuvenates family members, which helps them to better care for and assist their children during treatment.

Fun, Family, Art, Impact ?? “The impact of Family Support Services (FSS) is evident in the small yet meaningful moments, like seeing children light up and watching parents unwind during Fun Club activities.,” says Katia Hovsepian, FSS intern. “Medical challenges don’t just impact the child receiving care, but also their siblings. We see firsthand how much they are affected, often navigating emotions and changes alongside their families. Providing a special space for siblings, where they can feel seen, have fun, and receive support, has been such an amazing part of this work.” Ronald McDonald House Charities of SoCal (RMHCSC)'s FSS efforts also include providing one-on-one emotional support to families and staff, mindfulness practices, and virtual support after families return home. #KeepingFamiliesClose #RMHOC #FamilySupport #Fun

Go Birds!! This Super Bowl Sunday, we’re cheering on?Philadelphia Eagles?? ?? Hear how Ronald McDonald House Charities?was inspired by former tight end Fred Hill, his wife Fran, and their daughter, Kim Hill. At Ronald McDonald House Orange County, it's COMMUNITY that sets us apart. While our building provides a House ?? for families navigating their child's medical journey, it's the people that make it a home-away-from-home ?? Thank you to our incredible community who serve our families with such care, empathy and generosity. From our board members past and present, to their companies and families, and beyond... everyone who steps through our doors with support helps us accomplish our mission! We can't wait for what 2025 will hold as we serve even more families better #KeepingFamiliesClose #RMHOC #Community
??…We were, “filled-up,” at Tuesday’s, “Meal of Love,” at Ronald McDonald House Orange County, preparing dinner & sharing stories with the Families staying here… …It’s hard to believe— it was our first “Meal of Love,” in 5 years! —Sure we’ve sent lots of meals, tho in 2020, when the rules were altered, we didn’t get to sit with families anymore—so we’re happy to be back…?????? …And I am grateful that Cori Vernam, our resident RMHC board member, invited me… because one mother from Idaho, who’s been staying at the House since Halloween—after giving birth on vacation to a 1-1/2 lb boy, had lots of questions! —And we had the answers! —We’d “hit it off,” because our twins were also born premature… just like this young mother—and Ronald McDonald House Charities kept us close—while they resided at CHOC Children's.?? We’re excited because the family is preparing to take her son home for the first time. Oh— and just like us they’re super excited to give back to their own Ronald McDonald house in Idaho, so Cori and I are going to mentor them on how to get started just like we did eight years ago! Did you know that the Roofing industry, powered by the National Roofing Contractors Association (NRCA) donates the material, labor & services to keep all US Ronald McDonald House families—safe, dry & close when they need it to most!?!!???? Thank you team! And the fab community managers who made— the best meal I’ve ever had at the house! ???????? #keepingfamiliesclose #mealoflove #everynailmatters #bettertogether #roofingcontractor #keepingfamiliessafeanddry
