Today we celebrate the 100th birthday of the late Dr. Audrey Evans, who helped co-found the very first Ronald McDonald House in Philadelphia! We are honored to continue her legacy at Ronald McDonald House Charities of Southern Arizona by providing comfort and support to families with children who are ill or injured. On March 28, a film about Dr. Evans will debut in select theaters across the United States. Starring Natalie Dormer, Audrey's Children showcases Dr. Evans’ inspiring life as a woman in medicine, while emphasizing the realities and hardships families with sick children go through each and every day. Stay tuned to see where it will be showing near you! #AudreysChildren Ronald McDonald House Charities

Nurturing the health and well-bring of children and their families when it means the most.
关于我们
Faced with a child’s illness, life shifts instantly, and parents enter a world of fear and worry. For parents who don’t live close to the medical care their child needs, there’s an added stress. Living expenses can quickly add up. There could be long drives from home to the hospital, worried siblings, lost jobs, finding and paying for nutritious meals. These are extra burdens no family should have to experience. With the generosity of our community and the efforts of our volunteers, staff and local McDonald’s restaurant owner operators, we are nurturing the health and well-being of children and their families through three core programs – the Ronald McDonald House? in Tucson, the Ronald McDonald Family Room?, and the Ronald McDonald Care Mobile?. We are driven by our core values of compassion, love, family and gratitude. #KeepingFamiliesClose

On January 24, 1975, the first McDonald's Drive Thru opened in Sierra Vista, Arizona, to better serve U.S. servicemen stationed at Fort Huachuca—an act of kindness that sparked a global innovation. That same spirit of care and compassion fuels our mission to keep families together while a child receives care at a hospital far from home. Here's to 50 years of meals, memories, and making a difference, one Drive Thru order at a time! ??

Our hearts go out to our friends and family at Ronald McDonald House Charities of SoCal (RMHCSC) as they navigate the ongoing fires in Los Angeles. If you're nearby, you can support them by donating N95 masks and air purifiers to the Houses in Pasadena and Los Angeles. You can also contribute to their emergency fund to help families during this challenging time: https://lnkd.in/g-MqAnBm.
Thank you to everyone who has reached out to check in on us and most importantly to the firefighters and emergency responders who are working tirelessly to protect our communities. Update: our Ronald McDonald House Pasadena and Los Angeles Ronald McDonald House , along with our families and staff, remain safe from the fires but are located very close to them. The dangerous air quality is a serious concern as we prioritize the safety of those staying in our Houses. To safeguard our immunocompromised children, their families, and our staff from the hazardous air, we are asking for N95 masks and HEPA air purifiers. For those who have reached out asking how to support our Houses, please find donation details in the slides attached. Thank you. ?? #eatonfire #palisadesfire #sunsetfire
