For 37 nights, Keonna and her son Kaden called our Chestnut Street House their home while Kaden received oncology treatment. Thanks to the generosity of our Adopt A Room donors, they had a comfortable, clean, welcoming room to rest and recharge each day. There’s still room for you to Adopt A Room in 2025! In 2020, Clemente and his family traveled from Santiago, Chile, to RMHC Philly while he underwent a life-saving bone marrow transplant. Our House became their home, providing comfort, care, and the ability to stay together during a challenging time.? Recently, the Quijada Amar family returned for a 16-night stay so 15-year-old Clemente could receive specialized testing not available in Chile. ?We love to see him looking so happy and healthy! Our visionary and co-founder, the late Dr. Audrey Evans, would have turned 100 years old today! In her honor, RMHC Philly is proclaiming March 6th "Dr. Audrey Evans Day" to recognize her pioneering work in pediatric oncology and Family-Centered Care. Dr. Evans believed that a sick child is a sick family, and the whole family must be cared for. This philosophy still guides us today. Join us in celebrating Audrey Day by making a gift to support families with seriously ill children. Click here to donate: https://lnkd.in/esurm29W *Photo courtesy of Audrey’s Children.
