One night, Tony and Renee Gaipa experienced every parent’s worst nightmare. Their daughter, Isabella, was thrown from a vehicle onto the street, with her head taking the full impact. ?? Rushed to the ER at Elkhart General, the team quickly realized she needed more specialized care. Isabella was transported to Beacon Children’s Hospital, leaving her parents overwhelmed, exhausted, and afraid of what the next few days would bring... ?? In the chaos of hospital stays and uncertainty, Ronald McDonald House of Michiana became their refuge. ?? A place to rest, shower, grab a cup of coffee, a warm meal, and gather their strength so they could be fully present for Isabella as she received treatment. When families are faced with the unthinkable, RMHC Michiana is here. ?? We provide a home-away-from-home for families with sick or injured children receiving hospital care. Because of the support of our community, volunteers, and staff, we're able to keep families like the Gaipas close during the most critical times of their lives... ?? ??
