Last year we helped more than 8,000 families. From a simple cup of coffee to months of staying at our House for free while their child is in the hospital. Today at Union Hospital in Terre Haute, our very first Happy Wheels Cart will take its inaugural trip through the NICU, Pediatrics, and Mother and Baby departments providing snacks, toys, hot coffee, and more to families. The Happy Wheels Cart is a great way to expand our ability to provide comfort and care to families across Central Indiana, especially those in the Wabash Valley. A big thank you to Union Health, the Union Health Service League, Jami and Nick Kasprzyk, and DG Graphics who all helped make this cart a reality.

Last week we celebrated a HUGE milestone..... $1 MILLION Raised through Round-UP in 2024! More than $1 Million from generous Hoosiers who chose to Round-Up for RMHC when they visit their local McDonald's. This is the first time we have celebrated this amazing milestone and we are so grateful to every restaurant and every individual who helped us keep families close in 2024. McDonald's is our first and forever partner and we are so thankful for the 175 restaurants that help keep our House running, we couldn't do it without you! We celebrated in Martinsville where a 27-cent Round-Up crossed us over the$1 Million mark on December 2nd.

On Saturday, families supported by the Central Indiana chapter of Ronald McDonald House Charities enjoyed a special day at the Big Ten Conference Football Championship Game and Fan Fest, hosted by DIRECTV. This initiative showcases DIRECTV’s commitment to bringing the comforts of home to families during the holiday season. In preparation for this event, DIRECTV donated much-needed televisions to RMHC Central Indiana, as well as MyFree DIRECTV accounts to families staying at the house in 2025.

Each year our families are invited to 'shop' our conference room for holiday gifts! Our Holiday Shop is one of the most anticipated events the House puts on each year. From newborns to teens and caregivers, we have gifts for our families to enjoy at no cost. We are so thankful for all the generous donations that make this possible and allow our caregivers to pick out toys and fun surprises that will make a tough holiday season a little brighter. Our amazing volunteers will even wrap the gifts for the families. Thank you to everyone who makes this possible, it truly is a bright spot for so many.

?? And the Winner of Deck the Halls is... ?? We are thrilled to announce that Allegion US has claimed the title of Deck the Halls Champion this year! ???? Their beautiful Christmas Mickey tree raised more than $7,500 alone. We ask our families at the House to vote in a separate competition for Fan Favorite tree and this year was a tie between Milestone Contractors LP and Safelite for their amazing Construction and Grinch trees. Thanks to all of our partners our tree decorating competition raised more than $17,000 and every dollar goes towards keeping families close to their sick and injured children. A huge thank you to all the companies and individuals who participated, voted with their donations, and made this event such a success! The House is filled with Holiday Joy because of all the trees.??
