Founded in 1964, the R. M. Young Company specializes in the development and manufacture of professional meteorological instruments. Our cost-effective and reliable instrumentation has earned worldwide accolades for applications in meteorology, oceanography, navigation, air-quality monitoring, agriculture, forestry, fire and emergency response, transportation, and energy development. Our products include ultrasonic and propeller anemometers, temperature sensors, humidity sensors, rain gauges, barometers, programmable displays, and accessories. We design and manufacture our own products in the USA in a state-of-the-art facility with a dedicated and highly skilled staff. Engineering and production capabilities include CAD (SolidWorks), SurfCAM, CFD, wind tunnel testing, electronics and embedded systems design, injection molding, CNC machining, system calibration, and sheet metal fabrication.

This groundbreaking effort, part of Project Wayra, is set to transform our understanding of climate and water availability in the Andes Centrales, a region deeply affected by a prolonged mega-drought.
