Nearly 19,000 North Carolinians with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (I/DD) are on the Innovations Waiver waitlist—more than the number currently receiving services. These supports are critical for living independently in the community. That’s why our client Meet the Need NC is engaging with legislators in Raleigh this week to highlight the urgent challenges facing individuals with I/DD in our state.

Hungry kids can’t learn – which is why Gov. Josh Stein joined our client School Meals For All NC, the NC Alliance for Health and folks of all political stripes at the NC Child Hunger Leaders Conference. Nutrition is the most basic school resource – let’s give our kids what they need to succeed! “With a full belly, they’re ready to learn. If we want our kids to succeed, we’ve got to ensure they are fed. A lot about education is complicated, but that truth is not.” — Gov. Stein. ? #ncpol #ncga

How is it almost March?! After 6 weeks with RLF Communications, I would love to share about my experience and shoutout this incredible firm for their innovative work and the exceptional opportunities they offer to students. I am privileged to work alongside Renee Harvey, Agnes Stevens, Monty Hagler, Cara Neely, Hannah Allison, Anna Beth Adcock and the rest of the RLF team to create local, national and global results. "Public Relations with style and substance." That's RLF. Working with a wide range of clients, I am continuously deepening my understanding of PR and expanding my skillset in exciting ways. Muck Rack is my new best friend and I'm loving every chance to become more familiar with client relations and project research. Huge thank you to the team for everything so far, I cannot wait to see what the rest of the semester holds!

Play ball! RLF is proud to see our client, NSV Development, and its project partners make significant progress on this new Minor League Baseball stadium in Wilson. The team celebrated a milestone in the downtown baseball stadium's construction with a topping-out ceremony last week. A white steel beam signed by attendees and adorned with an American flag, a Wilson Warbirds flag, and a tree—symbolizing life and growth—was placed at the highest point of the structure. We can’t wait to see the Wilson Warbirds take the field! #TakeFlight #GoWarbirds https://lnkd.in/eKXisJKY
