  • #RLDidYouKnow - During World War II, Mr. Duchossois served in five European Tours, including at Normandy and the Battle of the Bulge, where he commanded the 610th Tank Destroyer Battalion of the United States Army. For that heroic service, as well as his support for the National WWII Museum and his fellow veterans, received the American Spirit Award in 2021 – the Museum's highest honor.

  • Though he would likely prefer we not make a big fuss about it, October 7th is a special day here at RLDF; on this day in 1921, Mr. Duchossois was born in the Beverly neighborhood of Chicago's South Side. In the century that followed, RLD positively influenced countless people and places, leaving a legacy that continues to strengthen our communities today and well into the future.
