At RKTB inclusivity is a core value reflected both in the diversity of our staff and the communities we have served for more than fifty-five years. In steadfastly supporting positive social change through our active involvement in improving the physical fabric of urban communities, RKTB has regarded architecture as social art with a responsibility for improving the lives of all people irrespective of race, religion, origin, or economic class. In the present heightened awareness of society’s structural biases, we at RKTB reaffirm this commitment to foster architecture as a profession that conscientiously works to remove the embedded obstacles that maintain racial inequity in the design of the built environment.

关于我们
RKTB Architects, P.C. is an award-winning New York City-based architecture and urban design firm that has been designing multi-family and supportive housing, schools, theaters, libraries, commercial buildings, health care and transportation facilities since 1963. Our practice has been based upon a simple philosophy: to meet our clients’ specific goals while recognizing the broader imperatives of civic responsibility. This philosophy has been forged over half a century of constantly changing conditions and has earned our firm the reputation of being a well-respected and recognized leader among New York City’s design professionals. Among our accomplishments, RKTB created an innovative “Smart Housing” infill prototype that has renewed neighborhoods throughout New York by replacing vacant lots with affordable housing.

We're proud to share that Alex Brito, AIA, one of our principals, has been invited to join the Board of Directors of the nonprofit Citizens Housing & Planning Council (CHPC). CHPC focuses on housing and planning policy in NYC. Brito's upbringing in West Harlem and his extensive experience with large housing projects across various NYC neighborhoods, including from his own neighborhood to the Bronx to Crown Heights, Brooklyn, and Astoria, Queens, will greatly benefit CHPC. https://lnkd.in/eqBz8s-J
