We're excited to share details about our latest residential building project, PARQ II, at the intersection of 10th and Cherokee. Our scope of work includes the fabrication of stairs and rails, canopies, trellis, feature stairs, brick ledger, roof steel, crash barriers and various miscellaneous metals throughout the building. This project comes with its challenges, particularly due to the small site footprint and its proximity to another building under construction less than two feet away. We've also implemented a "Stackable Stair" design for one of the stair cores, which allows construction access to the active deck from the permanent stair system. This innovative decision was made late in the process, requiring us to expedite engineering, submittals and fabrication to stay on schedule. Despite these challenges, we are on track for an approximately two-year project duration. We recently held our annual golf tournament to honor Ken Gustafson, who served as our beloved Master Planner at RK Steel for nearly ten years until his passing. Ken began his career at RK Steel as a Project Manager and rose through the ranks with his intelligence, kind heart and unique ability to communicate effectively. He was a talented pianist and a golf enthusiast, loved smoking cigars and adored his dogs. Ken's daughter was in attendance, which made the event even more special. We celebrated Ken’s life and passions, and his legacy continues to inspire us all. To reward players, we raffled off prizes throughout the day. Thank you to everyone who participated in making this year’s tournament a memorable tribute to Ken.
