While homelessness continues to rise across the US, Miami-Dade County has made significant progress! The latest census by the Miami-Dade County Homeless Trust shows a decrease in the number of unsheltered individuals in the county, marking the lowest figure in 11 years. ?? ?? Stats that stand out: - 858 unsheltered individuals in Miami-Dade (175 fewer than last year!) - The street-sleeping population decreased by 17% in South Dade! At Riverside House, we’re doing our part to help our community. Since March of last year, we’ve welcomed over 70 individuals into our Emergency Shelter Program, providing a safe space to rest and essential services like employment support, healthcare, clothing, counseling, and more!?? ??
