Last month, we had the honor to host some of our RIVER FUND friends from Republic Capital Group during our Food Distribution Program. Together we served over 1,000 Seniors and Clients living with disabilities and provided nourishing, fresh groceries and pantry essentials for their weekly meals. We extend our deepest gratitude to the Republic Capital Team for spending the day with us, caring for our New York neighbors in significan need and for Taking Poverty Personally! ??

Thank you, thank you, THANK YOU WeGaveWhat, for your wildly generous gift of Hulken rolling totes to our RIVER FUND clients! Accessible shopping bags and carts significantly relieve the burden that so many of our RIVER FUND clients bear in transporting their groceries and essentials. Thank you, Team WeGaveWhat! It is most heartwarming to be in the company of those who stand tall and live in the culture of care. We LOVED every bit of our day together and always do... Come back soon!

THANK YOU, Perella Weinberg Partners! ?? We LOVED spending the day with your whole team: long-time friends and cherished members of our G.I.V.E. Program ?? Together we served groceries and essentials to some of our most vulnerable New York neighbors - over 900 seniors and clients living with disabilities. Thank you for your time, kindness and humanity. What we accomplish is only made possible through our dedicated network of PARTNERS. Thank you, PWP for Taking Poverty Personally. The best part of who we are is in the caring of each other. ??

During the heavy rainstorm in the middle of this week, Queens Borough Public Library - Flushing hosted an event to celebrate the Undo Poverty: Flushing initative and chart a path forward to follow up on economic mobility in our communities. Undo Poverty: Flushing is a collaborative that includes MinKwon as one of six co-leading organizations, as well as a Partners Advisory Group and a Community Advisory Group to provide key support. MinKwon's Executive Director, John Park, shared the collaborative's historical origins, "The Undo Poverty: Flushing partners began initial conversations with Robin Hood on building this collaborative during the summer of 2019, a handful of months before COVID-19 hit New York. It was both the worst time to create a new collaborative, and the most important time." Generously funded by a four-year $1.78 million grant from the Robin Hood Foundation, Undo Poverty: Flushing wrapped up four years of projects and programming, which includes a documentary film titled "The Cost of Living" that centers immigrant, working-class lived experiences on the big screen. Read more about the key findings from the "End of Initiative Report" at fellow co-lead Chinese-American Planning Council's website, https://bit.ly/3vIm9Mk. Thank you to all of our collaborative members for all the hard work!
