We are currently seeking a highly qualified candidate to join our construction team! Construction Foreman Position: We are looking for a Construction Foreman/Laborer/Carpenter to help us organize operations and volunteers' performance at our construction sites. You will be a key person for leading the volunteers on build days? supporting them and providing training as needed. You should have a solid background in the field and possess leadership skills? being able to direct the work of others and make quick decisions. We also expect you to be well-organized and to favor safety above everything else. Saturday work required. Pay commensurate with experience with a range between $20 - $25 per hour. Position will be part-time with a maximum of 29 hours per week. Flexible work week will be Tuesday - Saturday but with mandatory work days on Wednesdays and Saturdays. What is a Faith Build? Habitat is built on a foundation of faith. Our mission is to build safe, affordable housing with people in Cole County, and that comes from a desire to put God’s love into action. We are God’s hands and feet, here to serve others and show them His Love. Habitat is offering a tangible experience that will allow you to engage those around you, live your faith, and offer a unique opportunity to love your neighbor. Our upcoming build at 712 Adams will be a Faith Build. The last Saturday of every month will be a Faith Build Day on this home, starting this month! Faith Build is a partnership with local faith-based organizations and businesses. Local churches and friends of the faith community will gather to help build and fund a home for a local family. We are inviting area congregations to put their faith into action by getting involved in this local mission work. We want faith-based organizations to choose a way to support Habitat - serve, pray, and/or give. This morning, we celebrated the "start" of another Habitat build! Antonette's future home is framed and the roof is on all thanks to the Nichols Career Center students who worked on it last school year. We will be finishing the home in the next few months, so today we held a Blessing of the Build for the beautiful family! House #134 #rivercityhabitat

Surprise! We surprised 3 single moms today who were approved last night for our program! Lots of happy tears, hugs and smiles that make the hard days at my job worth every second! I'm so happy for these families. We also surprised two other families (husband and wife and kids at both) but aren't publicizing their pictures but TRUST me, they were ecstatic! ???? #rivercityhabitat
