Through partnerships with government, philanthropy, and private and nonprofit sectors, Emily drives initiatives in planning, real estate development, and cultural programming to boost the area’s economic and social growth. Emily brings a wealth of experience, having previously led major redevelopment and economic projects as Director of the Department of Metropolitan Development in Indianapolis. She continues to serve the community through various boards and professional organizations, demonstrating her commitment in both Chattanooga and beyond. Fun fact: Outside of work, Emily loves spending time with her family, which includes her husband, Brian, and their two rescued basset hounds, Doug and Dixie. ??

The Emerging Producers program by River City Company is your golden ticket to making waves in the event management scene! If you're an individual, organization, artist, creative, resident, event curator, or entrepreneur with two years or less of event management experience, this is your chance to shine. The second cohort, running from January to October 2025, offers an immersive experience: educational workshops, event shadowing, field trips, and mentorship in the initial four months. What we're looking for: ? A vision for diverse and unique events in downtown Chattanooga ? Eagerness to learn event management skills ? Record of volunteering at or assisting with at least one public event ? Ability to activate a variety of downtown spaces ? Commitment to the ten-month program from January to October 2025 Selected candidates will not only benefit from valuable experiences but will also receive a $2500 stipend, disbursed in monthly installments, plus seed funding for their original event concept.
