Jim’s input has been invaluable as our company has grown; he understands the mission as he was in the Navy for 22 years!? Jim, thank you for your service to our country and company!? Let’s get to know Jim!? Jim Seveney What are your hobbies?? Politics and reading What motivates you?? Having a sense of mission, setting clear objectives, and being part of a team pursuing them Personal anecdote or silly story to add?? ?I never intended to go into the navy flight program, but after I’d finished all the standard exams, I had an hour to kill waiting for a ride home, so I took the aviation aptitude test… ended up flying for 22 years.? What is a favorite pastime?? Hanging around with family, serving in local politics. What company values resonate with you the most?? Culture of respect, teamwork and strong focus on our employee’s interests and wellbeing. What Is working at Rite-Solutions like? It’s great.? Strong accessible leadership, sense of mission, high standards of professional behavior… teamwork.? Who or What inspired you to pursue the career you have today?? After a career in the Navy, this was a natural choice.? I’ve been in the defense business for 27 years now, 49 counting the uniform time. What is your favorite aspect of the Defense industry? ? It’s demanding, keeps you engaged with high quality, dedicated people, and the work is as interesting as it gets. Welcome October and Fall! Our October 2024 Employee Spotlight is Danielle Parsons.?Danielle joined the Rite-Solutions team as a Software Tester and her knowledge and work ethic were so impressive she was quickly promoted to Project Manager in our Dahlgren, VA office!?Let’s get to know Danielle! What are your hobbies? I enjoy staying active and trying new things. One of my favorite hobbies is glamping—it’s like camping, but with a touch of luxury! I love being in nature, but I also enjoy a comfy bed, A/C and a full kitchen. Cooking is another one of my hobbies. I enjoy experimenting with different recipes and cuisines.?I love traveling and discovering new restaurants, as I'm always excited to try local food. I also play golf and recently got into pickleball, which has been a fun way to stay competitive and social. What motivates you? What really motivates me is a combination of a few things. First and foremost, I thrive on happiness, and I’m also driven by competition. I love a good challenge, whether it's a personal goal or friendly rivalry. However, family is my ultimate motivation. Knowing I can provide for and make them proud is the biggest reward for me. All these things are like my motivation cocktail, a perfect mix that keeps me going. What is a favorite pastime? My favorite pastime has always been spending quality, fun-filled moments with my big, crazy family. Whether its family vacations, reunions, Sunday Fundays, game nights or road trips it’s always a great time. More recently, the journey of motherhood. The last five years have been an amazing adventure raising my wild and funny son, Gunner. He keeps us all on our toes! What company values resonate with you the most? The company's focus on fostering a strong sense of community and inclusiveness really resonates with me. Even though I’m located in Dahlgren, I still feel like a valued part of the team, which speaks volumes about the culture here. Rite makes a conscious effort to connect and support employees no matter where they are based. It creates an environment where collaboration and shared goals are prioritized, which is something I truly appreciate and value.
