March 2025 employee spotlight is Demi Bartlett!?? Demi is a true Rite-Solutions Rockstar! She is an extremely valuable leader for our Electronic Warfare and Engineering team! Her vast knowledge of Sustainment, Maintainability, Reliability and subsequent coordinating departments makes her a key factor to the success of our support to NUWC. She is an extremely dedicated team-player who leads her team by example!? Thank you, Demi! Let’s get to know her... What motivates you? I am highly motivated by the acknowledgment and appreciation I receive from customers for a job well done. It drives me to continually improve and grow in my role. Additionally, I find great inspiration in my management team, who foster an environment of growth and hard work. Being surrounded by strong, inspiring leaders who promote a positive workplace encourages me to strive for excellence every day.? What is a favorite pastime? I love hanging out with friends, family, and my pup! We spend a lot of time camping and on the lake during the summer! I can’t wait for the warm weather to hit! What Is working at Rite-Solutions like? Working at Rite is an amazing experience. I have never been part of a company that cares so much about its employees! I find it incredibly valuable when management shares insights about where the company stands, where we are headed, and what’s happening beyond my immediate team. It creates a sense of connection and purpose, making me even more motivated to contribute and grow.? Who or What inspired you to pursue the career you have today? I never imagined myself working in this industry, but fate had other plans. My uncle, who dedicated his career to defense contracting, introduced me to this world about eight years ago. I was immediately struck by how dynamic and full of opportunities it is. Since then, I’ve worked hard to grow and develop my skills in this field, and I’m excited to see where the next eight years will take me! Thank you for being a Friend Enjoying Work, Demi!?

Welcoming February with a stellar member of our Information Assurance Team, Jillian Maghini! Manager, Kaitlyn shares, “Jill is a very valuable and dedicated member of the IA Team. She is always hard at work ensuring that we are in compliance with our security standards, but she also has fun doing it! Jill is a great example of what it means to be One of F.E.W.” Let’s get to know her! What are your hobbies? My hobbies are diverse and reflect my passion for staying active and exploring new experiences. I enjoy cooking and prioritizing my fitness, which includes weight training, running, and spinning. In fact, I completed my first half marathon in October 2024! Outside of exercise, I love to read whenever I have some downtime, and I'm always looking for opportunities to be outdoors and of course, I always make time to spend time with my adorable cat, Queso! What motivates you? I am highly motivated by setting both personal and professional goals that are challenging yet achievable. There’s a deep sense of fulfillment when I successfully accomplish a goal that initially seemed difficult or even unachievable. I also strongly believe that everything happens for a reason. This mindset helps me navigate hardships or setbacks, as I trust there’s always a purpose behind those challenges, and they ultimately contribute to my growth. Additionally, my future self and the well-being of my future family are major sources of motivation. Being able to provide for them and serve as a positive role model is something that strongly motivates me. What company values resonate with you the most? The company value that resonates with me most is being One of the F.E.W., which emphasizes the strong sense of community at Rite. The welcoming and friendly atmosphere is evident daily—there's always someone saying hello, and it's not uncommon to hear laughter throughout the day. This sense of connection has allowed me to build meaningful friendships with both my team and colleagues across the company. I truly appreciate the opportunity to form relationships with individuals from diverse backgrounds, ages, and experiences. Rite-Solutions has consistently made a strong effort to create opportunities for us to connect and build more personal working relationships. I've always felt accepted, valued, and included within the company. What is working at Rite-Solutions like? Working at Rite-Solutions is both exciting and rewarding. As a young woman who joined the company shortly after graduate school 2 years ago, I was welcomed with open arms! From my immediate teammates to the founders and colleagues across different departments, I have consistently been treated with kindness, respect, and inclusion. I always feel valued in conversations and fully supported in my role. Each day brings new challenges and opportunities, which makes coming to work something I look forward to. Welcoming 2025 with Cole Paulk!?Crawford Paulk Cole joined Rite-Solutions in March 2021 as an Electronics Engineer supporting the Code 34 Imaging Program Photonics ISEA. As a key member of Rite-Solutions Imaging technical team, Cole regularly leverages his prior Navy experience and skills gained during his time with Submarine Surveillance Equipment Program (SSEP) to support Photonics mast troubleshooting and Fleet Support efforts. Cole spends most of his time at NUWC, but he is always on the ready to fly out and support a boat when needed! What are your hobbies? My hobbies include golf, hunting, riding ATVs, traveling, and playing/collecting board games. Personal anecdote/or silly story! Once while working in Japan, I saw the band 3Oh!3 walking down the road. I ended up playing ping pong and partying with them that night.?Oddly enough, they were headed to Guam the same day I was going to Guam, so I went to their concert and got some autographs and selfies with the band.? Also, last year, I competed in the Simpson Cup, a veterans golf competition between Team USA and Team Great Britain. The competition was at Royal Lytham & St Anne’s Golf Club in the UK and it ended in a Tie. (see photo) A favorite pastime... Going to Georgia Bulldog football games with my family and friends. What Is working at Rite-Solutions like? I really enjoy my job at Rite-Solutions. The work that I do is challenging and rewarding. My favorite part about the job is fixing systems on submarines and training sailors, engineers, and technicians. Who inspired you to pursue the career you have today? Mike Scanlan, currently a NUWC Periscope Representative in Groton, used to help fix our Photonics Masts while I was stationed on USS VIRGINIA. He encouraged me to go to college after the Navy and become an Engineer working on Imaging and EW systems. Thank you, Cole! For your service, support, and efforts - we are lucky to have you!
