The CBS Sports cameras are pointed at Sportfishing! What did they see? I had a blast discovering the brands organically connected to the culture of this emerging competitive sport! What did I learn? It’s all about the team! Different brands authentically align with different personalities, passions and preferences. While Jaselyn and Toby with Rising Sons Fishing sprinkle Lucky Charms in the water to generate some good fortune and and Beeracuda to keep the baracuda from cutting their lines, Dino and Jordon with Team Lifeline crack a High Noon on the high seas to ensure their efforts are “all good.” The sport of it is certainly there and each team has there reason for putting their trust in one reel over another but it’s the traditions and superstitions of the participants that differentiate this form any property I’ve ever seen. It’s the whys and hows of what these teams believe made them win or lose that’s so entertaining. I guess in a way, this has ALWAYS been there. The fishing story that you fall in love with. The difference? It can now be captured and brought to life through social media activation for ALL to see. Now available to the everyone at home in a variety of flavors based on team backgrounds. And oh yea… you get some National TV exposure too thanks to everything SFC has done for the sport. Please let me know if your brand would like to be a part of the next chapter in this story.
