We are beyond proud of our amazing PROS member, Jillian M! Recently, Jillian gave a presentation to her fellow peers at Copiague PROS (Peer Recovery Oriented Services) as she recently became a member of the Board for My Dog Is My Home and had the honor of sharing her powerful journey. My Dog Is My Home is a national nonprofit dedicated to expanding access to shelter for individuals experiencing homelessness and their companion animals. Jillian spoke about her experience with homelessness and the heartbreaking loss of her support cats—an experience that fuels her passion for advocating pet-inclusive housing solutions for those in need. “Jillian’s strength, resilience, and unwavering dedication inspires us all!” says Robin E, Sr. Rehabilitation Counselor, who has been working with Jillian for many years. Meet RiseWell’s wonderful team for our Suffolk County Childhood Trauma Service Center (SCCTSC). In partnership with the West Babylon Public Library, our team was on-site to share our resources within the community to children and families at their ‘Shots for Tots’ Immunization Program. Through the library, free vaccinations were made available for children (up to 18 years old) who are underinsured or do not have health insurance. “The Suffolk County Childhood Trauma Service Center is a program tailored to children and families who have experienced trauma and would benefit from additional support. Our team offers in-home and on-site services, which include individual counseling, peer support, group counseling, and medication management. If you, or someone you know, is interested in our services please contact at 631-512-4092 ext. 4502.” says Amy D, Program Manager.
