Most businesses must file before March 21, 2025. The report is FREE to file and must be done at https://fincen.gov/boi The Rhode Island Department of State is aware of BOI filing scams. Be sure that you are filing at fincen.gov/boi. There is no fee to file. Please contact the Rhode Island Department of State Business Services team with questions.

This highly selective program brings together 104 of the brightest student leaders in the nation for an intensive week-long study of the federal government and the people who lead it. Last week, I attended the The National Association of Secretaries of State (NASS) Winter Conference in Washington, DC. Meeting with other state officials is a fantastic opportunity to discuss our experiences and trade ideas for how to better serve our states. I had the privilege of co-chairing an Elections Committee meeting with Kentucky Secretary of State Michael Adams. Elections administration is a year-round process! Local boards of canvassers and election officials gathered at the Rhode Island Board of Elections for the first session in a certification training series. Ongoing trainings like this help keep elections safe and secure in Rhode Island. ? The Rhode Island Department of State and Rhode Island Board of Elections have coordinated to define a standardized training and certification program for state and local election officials. The primary goal of this comprehensive program is to ensure that all officials across the state are executing duties and responsibilities in a standardized manner to provide consistent outcomes for all elections stakeholders.
