Approximately 1.5 billion people celebrate Lunar New Year in China, Korea, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Vietnam, Thailand, Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia, as well as in regions with significant Asian diaspora populations. ??During Lunar New Year, many people enjoy gathering for family meals, preparing special dishes, and participating in local festivities, such as fireworks and traditional performances. The customs can vary greatly from one culture to another, with unique foods, decorations, and rituals that reflect local heritage. ?? Each year, millions travel to reunite with family and friends. Exciting news! ?? RISE Travel Institute was featured in today’s New York Times article about travel trends for 2025! ?? The piece predicts that this year will be a record breaker for traveler numbers, showcasing trends like more cruises and mega ships, luxurious all-inclusive resorts, and premium cabins and airline lounges—which is quite the opposite of what we advocate at RISE.
