The Blockchain Revolution class hosted another interesting talk about yet another type of blockchain application with our guest being Andrew Almedia from RNS Partners, also known as Rise & Shine. Andrew is a GP and co-founder at RNS, an organization working to help build out blockchain infrastructure by supporting applications and builders in the Avalanche ecosystem. Andrew did a great job in introducing my students to the Avalanche platform and explaining many new blockchain concepts for them to consider.? While the class had been exposed recently to Bitcoin and Ethereum, it was great to expand their knowledge base to include another blockchain platform and help to show that Blockchain is constantly evolving. It exemplifies how many solutions are being pursued to solve challenges like the "Blockchain Trilemma".?The portion of Andrew's talk on careers in Blockchain and his generous offer to connect with my students was welcomed as many students are currently exploring career paths. Last week, our team had an incredible experience attending the Avalanche Summit in Buenos Aires. It was an amazing opportunity to connect with innovators and builders from around the world, particularly from the vibrant LATAM community! One of the key highlights was Avalanche’s exciting network upgrade, designed to make blockchain deployment faster, cheaper, and more accessible—meeting the real needs of developers, especially in emerging tech hubs like Buenos Aires. As a third-generation blockchain, Avalanche continues to lead the way in scaling blockchains, making it easier than ever to create robust and efficient systems. The summit offered a deep dive into topics spanning institutional finance, regulation, gaming, tokenization, and more.
