?? Take a look at highlights from our recent suicide prevention presentation at Quinipet Camp and Retreat Center! This impactful session was a collaboration with the Suicide Prevention Program (SPP) and Eastport South Manor High School’s psychologist, Peter Gomez, who organized a retreat for peer-nominated leaders. These student leaders, chosen by their classmates as trusted figures, took part in workshops on active listening and other essential skills. Our team presented on suicide prevention, discussing risk factors, warning signs, how to ask about suicide safely, ways to offer hope, and steps to refer someone to help. We were grateful to connect with around 50 inspiring students and staff!
