We want to highlight one of our incredible team members - Dr. Sawyer Wylie and his contributions to clinical pharmacy informatics. Informatics isn’t just about data-it’s about patient safety, smarter systems, and saving lives. Dr. Wylie exemplifies this on our team with his expertise in clinical informatics and his deep understanding of healthcare technology’s role in preventing errors and improving outcomes. In addition to Sawyer's experience in informatics and medication safety, he is CPHIMS-certified which brings a recognized level of expertise in leveraging health IT to enhance patient care. Dr. Wylie excitingly is bringing this expertise to building critical clinical calculators and tools that empower pharmacists to care for their patients. In the current healthcare world, where medication errors, alert fatigue, and fragmented data put patients at risk, it takes highly skilled professionals to build and optimize systems that protect them. Dr, Wylie's work ensures that the right data reaches the right clinician at the right time-empowering safer, more effective patient care. We support CPHIMS certification and have been excited about the impact it has had on our work! #HealthcareInformatics #PatientSafety #ClinicalExcellence #HealthIT #InformaticsLeadership #CPHIMS

We’re thrilled to recognize our Post-Doctoral Fellow, Sawyer Wylie, and his contributions during last weekend’s Scribathon (huge shout out to X = Primary Care, Paulius Mui, MD, and Dede Ainbinder for this spectacular event)! This Scribathon showcased several AI Scribes designed to ease the documentation burden in patient encounters. These innovative tools hold the potential to shift clinicians' focus away from paperwork, allowing them to fully engage with their patients. Strong work to all involved!

Wow, last weekend’s Scribathon was a blast! Thank you Paulius Mui, MD and Dede Ainbinder for hosting a spectacular event with X = Primary Care. I love connecting with innovative clinicians who are eager to address the challenges of practicing and receiving care within the American healthcare system. I had the opportunity to demo Chartnote, Health Note, Empathia AI, ScribeMD, and Avo - 5 AI Scribes aimed at reducing cognitive load for clinicians while enhancing the overall patient experience.?This is why the developers behind these technologies are the true winners ?? Congrats to Sawyer Wylie?? and James Leonard??! James explained it best - these tools blur the lines between history taking, examination, and treatment, creating a seamless interaction. They free us from the burden of documentation, allowing us to ask questions, gather information, and address each patient concern in real-time, without interruption. This means more natural, engaged, and attentive care. I thoroughly enjoyed testing these scribing tools, sharing my feedback, and learning from the insights of my colleagues who also participated. This will undoubtedly become mainstream very soon, and integrating AI scribing into my ER and primary care clinic workflows will be a game changer for both me and my patients ??

When it comes to revolutionizing healthcare, mastery and proper training of the technical care tools used by caregivers is essential to ensure patient safety. Insight 1: Tailored tech solutions can make a huge difference in patient care.? Insight 2: Without proper training, even the best tech can fall flat.? Insight 3: Real change happens when we all pitch in – patients, providers, and IT experts (including informaticists!). How do you solve for this? Often, the training and change management piece of technology implementation is the most crucial and difficult to resource.
