Each year, the Dream Team Women's Networking Group selects a nonprofit to support, and this year, we have the honor of partnering with Girls Inc. Metropolitan Dallas. They invited us to volunteer at their annual #PowertoTheGirls conference. This inspiring day brought together bright and ambitious 5th–8th graders for sessions on confidence, friendship, and leadership. But the real highlight? Dasia Taylor, a 21-year-old Girls Inc. alum whose story left the entire room in awe. She invented a sutra that detects infections—all while being raised by a single mother who instilled in her the power of perseverance. Watching the girls rush to get her autograph and take photos with her was a powerful reminder of how representation, mentorship, and encouragement can change lives. A huge thank you to Girls Inc. for their dedication to empowering young girls to be strong, smart, and bold.
