Exposition Park in Los Angeles will make history as the first site to host three Summer Olympics. In preparation for the LA28 Olympic & Paralympic Games, $352 million in state funding was recently announced—aiming to convert a surface parking lot into six acres of green space. RIOS, in collaboration with the Los Angeles City Planning 's Urban Design Studio, has presented that look to enhance the park's safety through the city's separate streetscape improvement proposal, "Reimagining Expo Square," which aims to improve pedestrian connections around the park. "We're happy to see enhanced pedestrian and bike facilities coming to these four street corridors. The recent open house for the Boulder Civic Area revitalization project represented a significant step forward.
